1. Who these terms are with

Learn Romanian: Acasă (“Acasă”, “the app”) is published by Smart Code Solution SRL, Ion Creanga, ap.(of.) 336, 63, mun. Chisinau, Chisinau Municipality MD-2051, Moldova, Republic of (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms.

• If you got the app from the App Store, your license to use it is Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These terms add the details below; where they differ, the Standard EULA wins.
• If you got the app from Google Play, we grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use it on the devices linked to your Google account, under these terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.

2. What is free and what is paid

The app is free to download. Free use includes topics 1 to 3, the first conversation, Review of everything you save, reminders, and export and import of your progress. The full course (all 32 topics and all 32 conversations) is unlocked by either:

• Lifetime: one payment that unlocks the full course for good. It is not a subscription; nothing renews.
• Monthly: an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks the full course for one month at a time.

The price of each is shown in the app before you buy, in your store’s currency, and taxes are handled by the store.

3. How the Monthly subscription works

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically every month at the price shown, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• Free trial: if you are eligible, Monthly starts with a free week. The app shows the date it ends before you start. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before that date, the subscription turns into a paid Monthly subscription at the price shown. If you cancel during the trial, the full course stays open until the trial ends, and you are not charged. A store allows one free trial per account.
• If the price changes, the store tells you in advance and, where the law or the store requires it, asks for your agreement before charging the new price.

4. How to cancel

You can cancel the Monthly subscription at any time. You keep the full course until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

• In the app: Progress → Settings (top right) → Manage subscription.
• On iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Acasă → Cancel Subscription.
• On Android: Google Play → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Acasă → Cancel subscription.

Lifetime has nothing to cancel.

5. Restoring a purchase

On a new phone, or after reinstalling, tap Restore purchases in Settings, or Restore purchase on the screen that shows the plans, while signed in to the store account you bought with. Because the app has no accounts, a purchase belongs to that store account: one made on the App Store unlocks the app on Apple devices signed in to the same Apple ID, and one made on Google Play on Android devices signed in to the same Google account. A purchase does not carry over between Apple and Android.

6. Refunds

Purchases are made through Apple or Google, so refunds are handled by them under their policies; we cannot issue a refund ourselves.

• App Store: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Google Play: request one from your Google Play order history, or see Google Play’s refund help.

Nothing in these terms limits a right to a refund or a withdrawal that your local law gives you.

7. Using the app

• The app is for your personal, non-commercial learning. Please don’t copy, resell or extract its course content, text or audio, or try to get around the paywall.
• Everything in the app except speaking practice works offline. Speaking practice needs an internet connection and a phone whose speech recognition supports Romanian; where it doesn’t, the app hides it.
• The course content, design, audio and the name Acasă belong to us or our licensors.

8. Your progress

Your progress is stored on your phone (see the privacy policy). Keep a backup with iCloud or Export: we have no copy, so we cannot recover progress lost with a phone.

9. Our responsibility

We work to keep the course accurate and the app working, and we fix problems we find. The app is a language course, not professional translation or advice; please don’t rely on it where a mistake could cause harm, such as for medical or legal matters. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

10. Changes and ending

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and a change that affects what you have paid for will not apply to you without notice. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it (and canceling any subscription, as above).

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Moldova. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and may bring a claim there.
